I just remembered there was this quick colour sketch I did a while back. Needs some work in thinking it through and execution, but it could be an interesting way to liberate my bike world ideas. Anyway, I shouldn't feel this was lame, (the imaginative force of cycling expressed pictorially that is) after watching the amazing Olympics opening ceremony with its glowing winged cycles taking flight? or maybe...

Any thoughts?

This has been a finished piece of work for some time now, published for this summer season. (it was done in illustrator, yes.) I believe that work on another similar book is starting soon. It would be nice to publish some of my personal work up here but to be honest there really isn't any at the moment.

In the intervening period between working on this last book and starting the next, I have become a bit more organized and sorted out a nicer working environment for myself and have just returned from a short but refreshing holiday, so keep checking back for that moment of inspiration...

Santa's sliegh has broken down! An epic christmas adventure ensues...

I switched from illustrator to Photoshop for this book as it seemed like a more fun way of creating something short and more playfully with a limited colour pallet... and it was. First experience of trying to use texture as well...

Sailor Ted will return.
